DNA samples are collected by simply swabbing the inside of the cheeks with a special swab like a large Q-Tip. This is quick and painless.

The Home DNA Test Kit is complete with illustrated instructions, swab collection materials and envelopes for each person, and a consent form.

The home paternity test kit is often preferred because it is private, discrete, and allows family members to resolve doubts without the need for legal action.

What do I need to do?

Step 1: Label the color coded envelope for the first person being tested
               (blue = father, green = child, red = mother)

Step 2: Collect DNA sample by scraping the inside of the cheek

1. Open the package containing the swabs that match the color of your envelope.
    
2. Aggressively scrape and rotate the swab inside your cheek 10 times (about 15 seconds) . Alternate from left inside to right inside of your check as you are scraping.
    

   Please Note: This is NOT a saliva test.                          Cheek cells are needed for testing This is the most important step, and shoudl be performed carefully in order to collect a sufficient amount of material for the analysis. Poor collection will result in the need for a recollection

   
    
3. Place DNA sample (swab) in the color coded envelope matching the color on your swab. Repeat step step 2 with the second swab.
    
4. Seal the color coded envelope and repeat step 1 through 4 with the next person being tested.

Step 3: Return DNA sampe & order form

1. Place all color coded envelopes and the order & consent form in the return envelope provided.
2. Make a note of your mailing date, order number and password.
3. Mail the envelope to Instant MD, Inc.
